The recently renovated Historic Southern Pines Train Station includes a passenger waiting area for Amtrak customers, as well as additional space for future tenants. The station is located in the heart of Downtown Southern Pines. An unusual feature is that the railroad tracks bisect the main street of town.

With its large auditorium and various meeting rooms, this is a popular multi-purpose facility. It boasts a spacious stage and lighting system which complement live entertainment. A small playground is available for the children. Plenty of parking and easy access from Pennsylvania Avenue help make this an inviting facility for parties, meetings, and banquets.

Located in Memorial Park, the Southern Pines Recreation Center opened in February of 2003 and is used for youth and adult athletics, senior programs and youth programs. There is a full size gym and a youth gym with bathrooms.
