The Non-Resident Membership Form (PDF) can be printed, filled out, and brought to our offices. This and the appropriate yearly payment will allow non-resident families, all members living in the same household, to participate in programs at the resident rate.
Online payment of Recreation fees is now available.

Junior Camp Counselors
(ages 14 & 15 years)
Too young to get a real job? Too old to sit around the house watching cartoons? Not interested in cleaning the house or picking up the yard? Get involved in a great volunteer opportunity that offers on-the-job training in planning, set-up, and clean-up of games & activities, helping children in a fun atmosphere, and a chance to work along side and under the supervision of great instructors. Internship Overview
The Southern Pines Recreation and Parks Department has designed and implemented a 12 week internship program that provides students with a well-rounded experience which introduces the intern to all aspects of a diverse and comprehensive parks and recreation program. This provides the students with an opportunity to put what they have learned to work. It is a "hands on" experience that reflects what park and recreation professionals do on the job to ensure the necessary and enhanced services to the community.

Full Day Camps
Programs for Year Round School
(kindergarten - 13 years)
Games, sports, arts & crafts, trips, and innovative activities will make the break from school a memorable one. Spaceis limited, so early registration is suggested.

Time: 8:00am - 5:30pm (Monday thru Friday)
Fee: $80r / $160nr (One time registration fee required $10r/$20nr)
(A deposit is required along with the registration fee to hold your spot for 10 days before camp starts. Balance must be paid 10 days before camp starts or your spot could be open for a waiting list).

Pottery Camp
(5 years through teens)

Indoor Fitness Walking
(16 years and up)
Are your "muscles" gathering around your midsection?! Does the back of your arm continue to flap when waving to guests long after they drive away?! Do you avoid 2 story buildings?! Meet new people, have fun, sweat a little, and get in shape. The weather is always great and you can move at your own speed while you: 1) burn calories; 2) tone muscles which will burn calories while at rest; 3) improve the condition of your heart, lungs, and muscles; and 4) have fun.

Special Events
Rod, Reel and Tackle Loaner Program
Kids who don't have parents who fish or money to buy equipment can check out a rod, reel and tackle to give "America's < Sport" a try. Zebco 33 classic rods and reels will be provided for check out, along with tackle and a how-to-fish booklet. Parents must fill out a registraton form then a check out card will be issued. Program Date Year Rental Date & Site Recreation Office in Campbell House and Douglass Community Center during office hours. Check out rods and reels daily

The highlight of the evening is the countdown to the pinecone drop at 8:30 pm.
