Fred Thompson. Call the library at 692-8235 for the movie title or for more information.

On Sunday, September 25, from 2:30-4:30 pm the library presented a film based on one of Pat Conroy's books set in New York City and the low-country of South Carolina. In this 1992 film, a troubled school coach reveals a terrible hidden secret to the psychiatrist trating his suicidal sister, and falls in love with her in the process. Barbara Streisand stars in and directs this movie, which was nominated for 7 Oscars, including Best Actor (Nick Nolte) and Best Picture. This film is rated R and is free and open to the public.
