Summer Reading Program for Grades K-5
(grade you are entering next year)

 

 

Registration for Summer Reading for grades K-5 (PDF) and for grades 6-8 (PDF) is now available online.
Please come into the library to pick up a registration bag and to sign up for book clubs.

Reader Rabbits: Grades K-2 (PDF) and 
The Book Bunch: Grades 3-5 (PDF) 
When registering for Summer Reading, serious readers in grades K-5 can also join a book club. Reading Rabbits and The Book Bunch will meet 3 times during the summer for book discussion and fun activities. Space is limited to 30 members so pre-registration is required. Children who in addition to meeting their reading goal- attend 2 of the 3 programs will be awarded a special prize.

Club meetings for Reading Rabbits will be held on Thursdays at 11 am on June 16, July 21, and August 11.

Club meetings for The Book Bunch will be held on Tuesdays at 11 am on June 21, July 19, and August 9.

Fly high and discover the world at your library with magic tricks, puppets, stories, and fun for the whole family!

THURSDAY, JULY 14 @ 5:30pm: Action Animals USA (PDF) 
Meet a monkey, chance upon a chinchilla, and salute a serval cat!

SUNDAY, JULY 24 @ 2:30pm: Sunday Afternoon @ the Movies
Beat the heat and chill out with a free movie for the whole family! In this film, a kid travels far to live in a new country. He soon faces bullies and learns Karate to defend himself. Starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 18 @ 5:30pm: Drumming Circle (PDF) 
Experience the culture of Africa and learn basic rhythms on djembe and dundun drums! 

                       Preschool Storytime (PDF)
Travel all over the world without leaving the library. Fly through the stories, music, and multicultural activities. Children ages birth through 5 years and their parents are invited on Wednesdays at 3:30pm: JUNE 8, JULY 13, and AUGUST 3.
