Holiday Ornaments

Landmark Ornaments are an annual series of collectible 24k gold-finished ornaments issued by Friends of Southern Pines Public Library, depicting architectural landmarks of Southern Pines.  Each year the Friends Board reviews potential sites and selects one to commemorate.  Only 500 copies of each ornament are produced, dated with the year of issue.

While all proceeds from the sale of ornaments are used by Friends of Southern Pines Public Library to support many programs and services of the Library that would not be possible otherwise, the ornaments are more than a fund-raising project.  They promote the history of Southern Pines as reflected in its rich and varied architectural heritage.  Local residents have been collecting the series as keepsakes of their own hometown, as well as giving them to friends and family.  They are also popular with visitors as reminders of their stay in our area.
