Mission Statement

The Southern Pines Public Library helps to ensure the continued economic vitality of the Town by providing citizens of Southern Pines with:

• current materials of interest
• educational support
• reference services
• access to information on business and finance
• and opportunities for cultural awareness

thereby nurturing a love of reading and a quest for knowledge and life-long learning.

Services Overview

In addition to current fiction and non-fiction books, the Library offers magazines and newspapers, large print materials, audio books, educational videos, and compact discs. Internet access is available to card holders. There is a trained staff to guide patrons in the location and use of all materials. Reference services, including interlibrary loans, are available during most hours. Some of the special services at the Library include story sessions, programming for children and teens, book discussion programs, and summer reading activities. Adult programs of interest to the community are offered periodically. Voter registration forms are available.
