Apparatus
The Southern Pines Fire and Rescue department provides a high level of protection to the citizens of Southern Pines and the Pines Fire District with the current apparatus we have listed below.
Ladder 81 is a 2006 Pierce (Arrow XT cab), serving as a Quint with a 105’ Ladder, 115 feet of assorted ground ladders, 2000 gallon per minute single stage Waterous Pump with 400 gallons of water on board.

ENGINE 811
Engine 811 is a 1998 KME Pumper/Tanker with a 1250 gallon per minute pump and can carry 1000 gallons of water on board.
ENGINE 812
Engine 812 is a 1992 Grumman Pumper/Tanker with a 1250 gallon per minute pump and can carry 1000 gallons of water on board.
ENGINE 813
813 is a 2005 Ferrara (HME cab) which has a 1500 gallon per minute single stage pump and can carry 1000 gallons of water on board.

ENGINE 814
Engine 814 is a 1990 Grumman Pumper/Tanker with a 1250 gallon per minute pump and can carry 1000 gallons of water on board.
BRUSH UNIT 818
818 is a 2002 Ford F450 Brush Unit with a high pressure pump that can carry 292 gallons of water and 8 gallons of foam on board.
TRUCK 819
819 is a 1996 EVI Heavy Rescue Apparatus and is also used for vehicle extrication, as a support unit, as an auxillary light source, and to carry equipment supplies.
QRV 829
829 is a 2000 Ford Excursion QRV and is used for EMS calls, as a support unit for vehicle accidents, and as a chase vehicle when manpower will allow.
